You may be spending less time in your car than usual with the pandemic keeping most Americans at home, but most of us are still going out to do necessary tasks like grocery shopping. Keep these tips in mind to sanitize your car and reduce your risk of spreading and contracting COVID-19.
Clean The Interior
Cleaning the interior of your car is vital to limiting the spread of coronavirus, both to the people riding in your car and those outside it. Use rubbing alcohol, disinfectant wipes, or just regular soap and water to wipe down the dashboard, steering wheel, and other non-fabric surfaces.
If you have fabric seats and carpeting, use a small amount of laundry detergent and water to clean it. You don’t want to get it too wet or sudsy, or you risk ruining the material. And avoid all ammonia cleaners, as they can damage your interior.
Clean The Exterior
Your hands make contact with the outside of your car too, when you open the doors, pop the cargo hatch, or check under the hood, to name a few. Wash the outside of your car regularly, paying special attention to the door handles and other areas you touch frequently.
Keep Yourself Clean
Always use hand sanitizer or wash your hands to kill any traces of the virus you may have come into contact with before you drive. It’s also a good idea to wear gloves when you drive.

Looking for a resolution for 2020? Go green in the New Year. There are a number of things you can do to reduce your carbon footprint, from cutting back energy consumption at home to routine vehicle maintenance. Try any one of these tips for going green today.
Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle
The three-Rs are a great mantra for when you go grocery shopping and for around the house. In particular, try to cut-back on plastic, as it’s not only made from fossil fuels (oil derivatives) but also because it doesn’t break down as easily as organic materials. Carry reusable bags with you whenever possible and start recycling if you haven’t already.
You can also reduce environmental impact by properly disposing of drugs, batteries, and other supplies, and by cleaning with natural, non-toxic products. When you flush prescription pills or spray caustic aerosol solutions in your home, it can often leech into the environment.
Maintain Your Car
Be good to your car as well. Bring your car in for regular maintenance to keep performance and efficiency at their optimal ranges. Basic services include checking tire pressure, replacing air and oil filters, and tuning the engine.
For those looking to make a bigger impact, you can also consider carpooling or buying a more eco-friendly vehicle. If you’re driving around every day in an old clunker, it could have a serious impact on the air quality and consume more fuel than necessary.

The festival has funnel cakes, hand-crafted ice cream, and all the fried foods you can imagine.
At the arts & crafts show, visitors can browse works from numerous local artists including watercolor painting, photographs, sculptures, and more. Since the beginning, Chevrolet has called Detroit home, which is why it made perfect sense for Chevrolet and Little Caesar’s Arena to join forces. Chevrolet is now the official vehicle of the brand new Little Caesar’s Arena, home to the Detroit Red Wings, concerts, and other entertainment. Since 2015, Chevrolet has been the official vehicle for the Detroit Red Wings.
Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet Marketing, said, “We look forward to continuing to support the Red Wings and the revitalization of our hometown, the City of Detroit, as a landmark partner in the new Little Caesars Arena — a perfect complement to our partnership with the Detroit Tigers and presence at Comerica Park.”
With this expanded partnership, Chevrolet will have an even bigger presence at the arena. The northeast entrance, along Woodward Avenue, will feature large-scale Chevrolet branding. In addition, there will be a new Chevrolet Plaza with a giant video screen that will be used for community programming and concerts.
Visitors to the arena will be able to spot the Chevrolet brand and distinctive bowtie throughout the venue, including being one of four in ice partners.
