The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is already highly customizable thanks to its many trims, powertrain configurations and available options. Customers who want an even more stylish truck will be pleased to hear that Chevy recently announced two new special edition Silverados: the Rally and Midnight editions.
Rally Edition: If you love street-inspired design, you will want to bring home the 2020 Rally Edition Silverado 1500. Available on the RST and Custom trim levels of the Silverado, the Rally edition offers four uniquely sporty paint colors, Rally stripes, all-black badging and bowties and black wheels. The Rally edition Silverado 1500 is available in your choice of powertrains: 2.7-liter Turbo, 6.2-liter V8, or 5.3-liter V8.
Midnight Edition: If off-roading is more your style, the 2020 Midnight Edition Silverado 1500 will be your best friend on the trail. The Midnight Edition Silverado is available on either the LT Trail Boss or Custom Trail Boss trim, and features a 2-inch lift from the factory and dark bezel LED headlights. The Midnight Edition stays true to its name thanks to its all-black paint, wheels, badging, grille, bumpers and exhaust. The Midnight Edition’s only touch of color is the bright red recovery hooks.
The team of Silverado specialists at Buff Whelan Chevrolet is available to help you special order the new Midnight or Rally edition Silverado.
You don’t look at a pickup truck and think “fuel efficiency,” but the all-new Chevy Silverado might just turn that old gas-guzzling image of the pickup on its head. The fuel efficiency of the 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 has everybody talking.
When equipped with the all-new 3.0-liter Duramax® turbo-diesel engine, the Chevy Silverado earns an EPA-estimated 33 miles to the gallon on the highway.1 That’s just about what you would earn with a family sedan or crossover SUV. With power-boosting four-wheel drive mode, it is still rated to earn 29 miles to the gallon on the highway.2
The new Chevy Silverado 1500 sacrifices nothing in terms of raw force to achieve this increased efficiency. The turbo-diesel is rated to put out 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. With the 3.0-liter Duramax® turbo-diesel and the added four-wheel drive, the new Silverado can tow up to a whopping 9,300 pounds and haul 1,870 pounds when properly equipped.3 These capacities satisfy and exceed what approximately 90 percent of all pickup customers need from their light-duty pickup truck.
The new Duramax® turbo-diesel marks the first time a diesel option has been offered on a light-duty Chevrolet truck since 1997. It is also the very first time Chevy has offered an inline-six engine for full-size light duty trucks.
