Although it seems like the advent of SUVs and crossovers has completely overtaken vans as the preferred family vehicle, vans aren’t leaving without putting up a fight. Nothing highlights this as much as the new Chevy Orlando, which just launched in China. Although it won’t be released in the states, the Orlando shows the world that vans can be just as stylish and innovative as their SUV counterparts.
Not only does the Chevy Orlando include a spacious cabin with seating for up seven, lots of cargo room, and plenty of convenient details, but it also looks modern and sophisticated while doing so. The Orlando Redline version, for example, uses the FNR-X concept as inspiration to achieve a sporty look. As Scott Lawson, the general director of Chevrolet for SAIC-GM, stated, “The Orlando and Orlando Redline embody Chevrolet’s spirit of youth, sport and innovation. As one vehicle with multiple capabilities, the Orlando will meet the dynamic needs of consumers who have varied lifestyles and require a vehicle that can adjust to their everyday demands.” The Orlando excels across the board, providing a functional vehicle to families without sacrificing technology and convenience.
While we’re a bit disappointed that the Chevy Orlando won’t be released in the states, it’s a hopeful promise of what’s to come in future passenger vehicles from the brand. For more Chevy news, contact us at Buff Whelan Chevrolet.
